The Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear and Explosives (CBRNE) Wing of the Sri Lanka Air Force (SLAF) conducted a training programme for staff at the National Hospital in Colombo on Wednesday (May 10). According to SLAF media, the programme was held in response to a request by the Hospital’s director.
The primary objective of the training exercise was to prepare the hospital staff to face any emergency events of sudden chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear and explosive attacks and to safely transport patients by air or land in the shortest possible time while providing immediate treatment, it says.
The exercise was carried out with a professional approach, ensuring that all participants were well-prepared to handle emergency situations and respond in a timely and effective manner, it says.
