Japan-Lanka Friendship Association donates
Firefighting equipment to SL Air Force

The Japan-Lanka Friendship Association presented a fire engine and two sky ladders to the Sri Lanka Air Force (SLAF) during a ceremony on Monday (May 22). According to SLAF media, the Association with the generous support of Mr. Goto Hideaki and delgation had also offered 13 scholarships for school children of Air Force personnel and a stock of reading spectacles.
The donation was handed over to SLAF Chief of Staff, Air Vice Marshal Udeni Rajapaksa by a Japan-Lanka Friendship Association delegation during a ceremony held at the SLAF Headquarters.
The Japan-Lanka Friendship Association has since 2015 presented 10 Fire Vehicles, 08 Ambulances, 03 Turntable Ladder Vehicles and one Fire Car to the SLAF.
Goto Hideaki, senior SLAF officers including Deputy Chief of Staff, Air Vice Marshal Roshan Biyanvila were also present at the handing over ceremony it says.
