Army - used lands released to Mullaitivu Civilians
May 23, 2023Sri Lanka Army (SLA) released eight land plots used by the Army for operational and security needs in the Mullaitivu district, recently in conformity to the policy of releasing lands of civilians.
Army establishments were previously deployed in those eight land plots of about 70.05 acres situated in Thevipuram, Anandhapuram, Maligativu, Sudhanthipuram, Udayar Kattu (South), Chalai and Vellamullivaikkal, the SLA sources stated.
General Officer Commanding - 68 Infantry Division Maj. Gen. S Kasturimudali handed over documents pertaining to the lands to civil authorities during a meeting at 68 Infantry Division, Puthukkuddirippu with the Divisional Secretary of Maritimepattu, District Forest Officer, Divisional Secretariat, state officials and Senior Army Officers.
