A total of 17,425 PCR tests conducted on Saturday
December 13, 2020The identification of 760 coronavirus positives during the last 24 hours has increased the number of cases in the island up to 32,134, the National Operations Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO) stated today (Dec 13).
Four persons among the total positives identified yesterday were Sri Lankans repatriated from overseas, while 397 positives were reported from Colombo District, 136 from Kalutara District and 55 from Kandy District according to the NOCPCO.
The number of infected persons associated with the Minuwangoda and Peliyagoda Fish Market cluster increased to 28,498 and out of them 19,896 have left hospitals following complete recovery.
Meanwhile, the total arrived in the country today morning reads as 430 which included 31 persons from Maldives, 51 from Qatar, 75 from Australia, 210 from Japan and 63 from the UAE. They all will be directed for quarantining.

Two coronavirus victims were reported during the last 24 hours, and those were reported from the areas of Colombo 15 and Imbulgoda. Accordingly, the country’s COVID-19 death toll rose to 149.
A total of 6,754 persons are isolated in military-managed 67 quarantine centers as of today, NOCPCO also said.
