SL Navy brings ashore foreign national in need of medical care
May 29, 2023A foreign national who had fallen sick while onboard the Indian cargo ship ‘NERU XINRUI’ was brought ashore for treatment with the assistance of the Sri Lanka Navy (SLN) on Sunday (May 28).
SL Navy media sources state that the Eastern Naval Command was informed of the medical emergency onboard the ship sailing to India from China and in response, the Inshore Patrol Craft P 115 was sent to bring ashore the patient.
Upon being safely transferred to the Navy craft, the patient was given first aid and rushed ashore from where he was sent to a private hospital for treatment.
