A total of 15,239 PCR tests conducted on Sunday
December 14, 2020The identification of 655 Coronavirus positives identified during the last 24 hours has increased the number of cases in the island up to 32,789, the National Operations Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO) stated today (Dec 14).
Five persons among the total positives identified yesterday were Sri Lankans repatriated from overseas, while 444 positives were reported from Colombo District, 75 from Gampaha District, 41 from Ampara District and 90 persons from other Districts.
The number of infected persons associated with the Minuwangoda and Peliyagoda Fish Market cluster increased to 29,148 and out of them 20,385 have left hospitals following complete recovery.
A total of 489 persons have left hospitals during the last 24 hours following complete recovery.
Meanwhile, the total arrived in the country today morning reads as 92 which included 42 persons from Qatar and 50 from Saudi Arabia. They all will be directed for quarantining.
A total of 7,211 persons are isolated in military-managed 76 quarantine centers as of today, NOCPCO also said.
NOCPCO said 15,239 PCR tests were conducted yesterday (Dec 13).
Three Coronavirus victims have been reported during the last 24 hours and those were reported from the areas of Colombo 10, Wattala and Matale. Accordingly, the country’s COVID-19 death toll rose to 152.
