Army troops plant Mangroves in Nanthikadal
June 16, 2023Sri Lanka Army troops together with state officials, environmentalists and civilians planted mangroves in the Nanthikadal lagoon in Mullaittivu area recently coinciding with the ‘World Ocean Day’.
Army Media stated that a group of 150 civilians, largely the fishing community in Mullivaikkal area and the troops of the 68 Infantry Division of the Security Force Headquarters - Mullaittivu (SFHQ-MLT) contributed to the project.
