Pakistan Defence Advisor makes farewell call on
July 06, 2023The outgoing Defence Advisor of the Pakistan High Commission in Colombo, Colonel Muhammad Safdar Khan made his farewell call on the Defence Secretary General Kamal Gunaratne at the Defence Ministry, today (Jul 06).
While exchanging views, the Defence Secretary appreciated Col. Khan for his excellent relations, military diplomacy and goodwill maintained with the Defence Ministry and the armed forces during his three-year-long tenure in Sri Lanka.
Gen. Gunaratne also recalled the long held ties between the two countries and supportive measures extended at the time of need.
Col. Khan expressed his gratitude to Gen. Gunaratne for the continuous assistance and support he received from the Defence Ministry.
The Defence Secretary extended warm wishes to the outgoing Pakistan Defence Advisor for all his future endeavours while exchanging mementoes to mark the occasion.
Military Liaison Officer of the Ministry of Defence Brigadier Dhammika Welagedara was also present at the occasion.
