Maj. Gen. Sanjaya Wanasinghe, new Army Chief of Staff
July 15, 2023Major General Sanjaya Wanasinghe has been appointed as the new Chief of Staff of the Sri Lanka Army (SLA), effective from today (July 15).
Maj. Gen. Wanasinghe was the Deputy Chief of Staff of the Army prior his new appointment.
Maj. Gen. Wanasinghe is the eldest son of renowned former Army Commander General Hamilton Wanasinghe.
