CATAC presents threat assessment report on Jaffna International Airport
July 19, 2023The Civil Aviation Threat Assessment Committee (CATAC) today (Jul 19) officially handed over its comprehensive Threat Assessment Report of the Jaffna International Airport (JIA) to the Chief of National Intelligence Major General Ruwan Kulathunga.
The Committee appointed by Defence Secretary General Kamal Gunaratne and under the supervision of the Chief of National Intelligence presented the report which consists of observations and recommendations made through a systematic and scientific security survey conducted by the committee of experts in the fields of Aviation, Immigration and Emigration, Customs Authority, Security, Intelligence and Investigation.
The committee intends to ensure the security status of all international airports in Sri Lanka is up to international standards and also suggest necessary recommendations.
