Army-built new house vested in an underprivileged family at Udayarkattu
July 25, 2023Sri Lanka Army built a new house for a needy family residing in Udayarkattu and vested it in the beneficiaries recently during a brief ceremony.
Technical and engineering expertise for the project was provided by 9 Sri Lanka National Guard troops of the 681 Infantry Brigade under the 68 Infantry Division of the Security Force HQ - Mullaittivu and the financial assistance was provided by Mr S. Punidawalan at Anandapuram and Mr M.B Anton in Walaimadam, the Army Media reported.
The beneficiary of the new house, Mr Wijayakumar Danushan at Suthathipuram Colony received the key of the house during the house warming ceremony attended by Commander, Security Forces-MLT Maj. Gen. M.K Jayawardena, Officers, Other Ranks, state officials, relatives and civilians in the area.
