Sri Lanka’s total recoveries from the virus increased to 24,308 - NOCPCO
December 15, 2020The total Coronavirus positives identified during the last 24 hours ending at 06.00 a.m. today (December 15) stands at 688 and the total cases in the country increased to 33,477 the National Operations Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO) stated.
Three persons among the total positives identified yesterday were foreign sea marshals from overseas while 200 positives from Colombo District, 113 from Gampaha District and 117 from Kalutara District have been identified.
The number of infected persons associated with the Minuwangoda and Peliyagoda Fish Market cluster increased to 29,833 and out of them a total of 20,901 have left hospitals following complete recovery.
Meanwhile, the NOCPCO confirmed Sri Lanka’s total recoveries from the virus increased to 24,308.
NOCPCO also stated that a total of 13,479 PCR tests were conducted yesterday (14) and the day’s total recoveries from the virus during the last 24 hours ending at 06.00 a.m. today (15) stands at 516.
The total arrived in the country today morning reads as 210 which included 130 persons from Canada and 80 persons from Qatar. They all will be directed to quarantine centres managed by Tri-Forces.
The country’s COVID-19 death toll has increased to 154 along with two Coronavirus deaths reported during the last 24 hours.
