State Minister Premitha Bandara Tennakoon appointed
as Acting Minister of Defence

Four State Ministers including the State Minister of Defence have been appointed as Acting Ministers, with effect from today (13).
Accordingly, State Minister Premitha Bandara Tennakoon has been appointed as the Acting Minister of Defence.
President Ranil Wickremesinghe left for Cuba this morning to address the G77 + China Leaders’ Summit themed “Current Development Challenges: Role of Science, Technology and Innovation,” scheduled for September 14 to 16 in Havana, Cuba.
