Rainy weather to enhance during the coming days - Met. Department
September 27, 2023The Department of Meteorology in its latest weather forecast issued this morning (Sep 27) has predicted heavy rains in several areas in the country. The report indicates the present showery condition in the South-western parts of the country may enhance up to some extent during the next few days.
Showers or thundershowers will occur at times in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, Southern and North-western provinces and in Kandy and Nuwara-Eliya districts, it says.
Heavy showers of about 100mm can be expected at some places in the Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces and in the Galle and Matara districts.
Meanwhile, places in the Uva and Eastern provinces may also experience showers or thundershowers during the evening or night.
