SL Navy provides Reverse Osmosis (RO) plant to LRH
October 07, 2023A medical grade Reverse Osmosis (RO) water treatment plant installed by the SL Navy at the Lady Ridgeway Hospital for Children (LRH) in Colombo was officially declared open by the Navy Commander Vice Admiral Priyantha Perera on Friday (Oct 06), say’s Navy media.
Navy has installed this RO plant in the Hemodialysis Unit of LRH as a part of its Naval Social Responsibility (NSR) initiative, it says. Financial assistance for the project was provided by the Health Ministry.
This medical grade RO plant has the initial capacity to provide high quality purified water to 15 patients with potential to expand up to accommodate the requirements of 25 patients, it says.
