11th ‘Galle Dialogue 2023’ begins tomorrow
October 11, 2023The 11th ‘Galle Dialogue 2023’ International Maritime Conference, organized by the Sri Lanka Navy in collaboration with the Ministry of Defence and Geopolitical Cartographer (GC), will begin tomorrow (Oct. 12) at the Jetwing Lighthouse in Galle.
The opening ceremony of this two-day conference (Oct. 12 - 13) will be graced by President Ranil Wickremesinghe. Defence Secretary General Kamal Gunaratne will also be among the distinguished guests at the event.
This year the Galle Dialogue is held under the theme “Emerging New Order in the Indian Ocean". The Navy has extended invitations to representatives from 44 countries and 11 International Organizations for the conference.
Galle Dialogue provides an ideal venue for a variety of stakeholders in the marine industry to converge, share insights and confront unique maritime challenges cooperatively by integrating their expertise, abilities and strategic approaches.
