INS Airavat arrives in Colombo
October 18, 2023Making a formal visit to the country, the Indian Naval Ship (INS) Airavat arrived in Colombo today (Oct 18). The visiting Indian naval ship was accorded a traditional welcome by the Sri Lanka Navy (SLN), say navy media sources.
Airavat is a 124.8m long Landing Ship Tank - Large (LST - L) and carries a crew of 170 personnel. The crew will take part in several training programmes with their Sri Lankan counterparts prior to its departure on Thursday (Oct 19), it further says.
