Ministry staffers donate blood at medical camp
October 19, 2023The second phase of the medical camp organized by the Welfare Association of the Ministry of Defence was held today (Oct 19) at the Ministry premises.
On the sidelines of this, a blood donation campaign was also conducted, in which many military and civil staff members voluntarily donated their blood.
The first phase of the medical camp was held on October 5 to conduct preliminary medical check-ups and testing of Ministry staffers.
A large number of Ministry employees attended the programme, which was held with a view to facilitate proper medical care for their ailments.
The medical camp was conducted with the assistance of a group of medical personnel from the University Hospital of Kotelawala Defence University (UHKDU).
