Wanni Troops donate blood to Save lives in Vavuniya Hospital
December 19, 2020Army Officers and Other Ranks of the Security Force Headquarters -Wanni (SFHQ-Wanni) volunteered to donate blood to patients at the Vavuniya District General Hospital.
The absence of the public to donate blood due to the COVID-19 threat, compelled them to contribute to the noble task of saving people’s precious lives.
The Vavuniya Blood Bank's medical staff and officials of the Cheddikulam Rural Hospital collected blood from the troops and a few volunteered civilians under the direction of the Commander SFHQ-Wanni, Maj. Gen. Priyantha Perera, early this week.
