33rd IMBL meeting concludes on a successful note
November 06, 2023The 33rd annual International Maritime Boundary Line (IMBL) meeting between the representatives of Sri Lankan and Indian navies was held onboard INS Sumitra in the IMBL situated north of Kankesanthurai on Friday (Nov 03), says SL Navy media.
The Sri Lankan delegation was led by Commander North Central Naval Area Rear Admiral Kanchana Banagoda, while the Indian delegation was headed by Flag Officer Commanding Tamil Nadu and Puducherry Naval Area Rear Admiral Ravi Kumar Dhingra, it says.
During the talks, both delegations deliberated on issues concerning the security of their respective maritime borders and shared perspectives on the advancements made in previous meetings, it further says.
