ICRC local delegation head meets State Minister
December 05, 2023Head of the ICRC Delegation in Sri Lanka Severine Chappaz met the State Minister of Defence Hon. Premitha Bandara Tennakoon at his office in Colombo today (Dec. 05).
The State Minister and Ms. Chappaz had a cordial discussion during the meeting.
Expressing appreciation of the ICRC’s service in the country State Minister Tennakoon said that its role during emergency situations is commendable and also pledged support for its future activities. Responding to the State Minister's encouraging words, Ms. Chappaz thanked him for the support towards their operations in the island.
ICRC Armed and Security Forces Programme Advisor Channa Jayawardane was also present at the occasion.
