Making a formal visit to Sri Lanka, the Royal Navy ship ‘HMS Spey’ arrived at the port of Colombo on Sunday (Jan 28).

The visiting ship was welcomed by the Sri Lanka Navy (SLN) in compliance with naval traditions, SLN media says.

HMS Spey is a 90.5m long Offshore Patrol Vessel (OPV) manned by a crew of 56 naval personnel.

While on the island, the crew will visit several tourist attractions in the country. HMS Spey is scheduled to conduct a Passage Exercise (PASSEX) with a SLN ship before its departure on Wednesday (Jan 31), it further says.
