Sri Lankan NCC cadets take part in Indian Republic Day celebrations in New Delhi
February 03, 2024A contingent of Sri Lanka National Cadet Corps (NCC) cadets represented the country at the Indian Republic Day celebrations in New Delhi, India, recently (Jan. 26). The Sri Lankan NCC contingent arrived in India at an invitation extended by the Director General of the Indian Cadet Corps.
The local NCC group, which included both male and female cadets and three officers, was led by Director NCC Brigadier Sudantha Fonseka.
Cadets from twenty-five countries attended the International Cadet Camp held in conjunction with the Indian Republic Day celebrations. This gave the Sri Lankan cadets a rare opportunity to exchange ideas and experiences with their counterparts from other countries and also showcase their talents to the world. It also gave them an opportunity to gain much-needed exposure and build good relations with foreign cadets.
