Fourth Day of the 'Air Tattoo 2024' Graced By the State Minister of Defence

The fourth day of the 'Air Tattoo 2024' educational and technological exhibition commenced today (09 March 2024) at Muttraweli Ground in Jaffna, extending a warm invitation to the general public until 10 p.m. The State Minister of Defence, Hon. Pramitha Bandara Thennakoon, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. The Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal Udeni Rajapaksa, extended a welcome to the Chief Guest upon his arrival.

During the exhibition, schoolchildren demonstrated their enthusiasm by delivering presentations on aircraft components and other pertinent subjects to the Chief Guest. Additionally, cadets from the National Cadet Corps attended and dazzled the audience with a drill display, enhancing the attraction of the exhibition site. Moreover, the Commander of the Air Force visited the trade stalls and engaged in friendly discussions with the merchants.

The ceremony was attended by prominent personalities, including former Commander of the Air Force, Air Chief Marshal Jayalath Weerakkodi, Mr. TY Sundearasan, Governor of the Chamber of Commerce and Industries of Yalpanam, as well as Chairperson of the SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit, Mrs. Enoka Rajapaksa, members of the Air Force Board of Management, Tri-forces officers and other distinguished guests. Notably, the presence of schoolchildren accompanied by their parents filled the event with vibrant energy, further enhancing its ambiance and significance.
