SL Army athlete sets world record in Javelin Throw
May 22, 2024Sri Lanka Army Warrant Officer II K.A Samitha Dulan taking part at the Para Athletics World Championship 2024 in Kobe, Japan set a new world record in the Javelin Throw event.
According to SL Army media, WO II Dulan set the record throwing a distance of 66.49 metres in the Javelin Throw F-44 category. He won the Silver Medal in the Para Javelin Throw event (F-44/F-64) while setting the world record in his representing category (F-44), it says.
The Kobe 2024 Para Athletics World Championship commenced on 17th May and will go on till the 25th.
