686 persons left hospitals yesterday after complete recovery from the virus
December 25, 2020The total Coronavirus positives identified during the last 24 hours ending at 06.00 a.m. today (December 25) stands at 592 and the total cases in the country increased to 39,230, the National Operations Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO) stated.
Three persons among the total positives identified yesterday were Sri Lankans repatriated from overseas, while 245 of them have been identified from Colombo District, 140 from Kaluthara District, 66 from Gampaha District and 137 persons from other districts, the NOCPCO confirmed today (December 25).
The number of infected persons associated with the Minuwangoda and Peliyagoda Fish Market cluster increased to 35,526 and out of them, a total of 27,160 have left hospitals following complete recovery.
NOCPCO also stated that a total of 13,853 PCR tests were conducted yesterday (24).
Meanwhile, the total arrival in the country as of today morning reads as 221 which included 193 persons from Australia, 21 persons from Qatar, 07 from Japan. They all will be referred to quarantine centres managed by Tri-Forces.
A total of 686 persons have left hospitals yesterday after complete recovery from the virus.
The total recovery from the virus in the country rose to 30,567 persons. 8,478 Coronavirus patients are undergoing medical treatments while 6,457 persons are quarantining under 76 centres managed by Tri-Forces, NOCPCO added.
The country’s COVID-19 death toll has increased to 185 along with one Coronavirus death reported during the last 24 hours.
