An Electric tricycle donated to a war veteran
July 22, 2024A brand new electric tricycle was presented to a disabled war veteran today (Jul 22). Defence Secretary General Kamal Gunaratne presented the electric tricycle to the beneficiary war veteran HBMR Ariyaratne during a simple ceremony held at the Defence Ministry this morning.
The electric tricycle sponsored by Mr Vemindra Sangakkara was presented to the beneficiary war veteran who had retired on medical grounds after being wounded in action in Kilinochchi during the humanitarian operation.
This electric tricycle would greatly enhance the mobility of this deserving war veteran in his day-to-day activities.
Military Liaison Officer Maj. Gen. Dhammika Welagedara and the sponsors were also present at the occasion.
