Defence Secretary graces Employee Appreciation Ceremony of
Rakna Arakshaka Lanka Limited

     •    Interview in progress for 500 Sea Marshal vacancies while thousands more to be available in future.

Defence Secretary General Kamal Gunaratne graced the Employee Appreciation Ceremony held to felicitate retired military veterans serving in Rakna Arakshaka Lanka Limited (RALL) at the Suhurupaya Auditorium in Battaramulla last evening (Jul 31).

The RALL was founded in 2007 under the supervision of the Ministry of Defence with the aim to obtain the services of retired war heroes further towards the motherland.

This ceremony was organized to appreciate employees for their contributions and valuable service rendered to the organization.

Speaking at the ceremony, the Defence Secretary said that RALL despite facing challenges has been able to provide employment for thousands of the retired war heroes and help to uplift their livelihood standard.

He revealed that as a result of negotiations with a foreign company, interviews are underway to recruit 500 Sea Marshals for that company, and thousands of such opportunities will be made available in the future which will generate much needed foreign exchange.

Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of RALL Major General P Chandrawansha (Retd), Ministry of Defence Additional Secretary Saman Dissanayake, Chief Accountant of RALL Sisirakumara Samaratunga, Board Member Kanishka De Silva, distinguished guests including retired senior military officers and a large number of employees were present at the ceremony.
