The CISM Military World Cadet Games is a prestigious international event organized by the International Military Sports Council (CISM), where military cadets from around the world compete in various sports disciplines. This year, the Games saw participation from leading countries, including Russia, China and Venezuela, providing a platform for young military athletes to perform their sporting talents and represent their nations. A contingent of 10 military cadets representing the tri-forces of Sri Lanka participated in different sports disciplines at the Games.

The SLAF’s primary objective is to raise and inspire SLAF cadets, who represent the young blood of the Officers' Corps, with the goal of moulding them to aspire to Olympic-level excellence and represent Sri Lanka on the world stage.

The Commander of the Air Force, in his capacity as the President of the Air Force Sports Council, Air Marshal Udeni Rajapaksa, has consistently strived for excellence in promoting and supporting talented SLAF sports personnel, ensuring they have the resources and encouragement needed to excel in the international sports arena.

Upon her return to Sri Lanka, Lady Officer Cadet Savindi was welcomed with a warm reception at Bandaranaike International Airport today (27 August 2024) by representatives of the Sri Lanka Air Force, who recognized her outstanding accomplishments.
