Army’s new Chief of Staff calls on Defence Secretary
September 18, 2024The newly-appointed Chief of Staff of the Sri Lanka Army, Major General Dinesh Nanayakkara, called on the Defence Secretary General Kamal Gunaratne, at the Defence Ministry in the Defence Headquarters Complex, Sri Jayewardenepura, Kotte today (18 Sep).
Following a warm reception, the Defence Secretary extended compliments to Maj. Gen. Nanayakkara for his new appointment during a cordial discussion held between the two officials.
Signifying the occasion, the Defence Secretary and the Army Chief of Staff exchanged mementos at the end of the discussion.
