SL Air Force Judokas shine at Thailand International Judo Championship - 2024
September 25, 2024Two Sri Lanka Air Force (SLAF) Judokas representing the country at the Thailand International Judo Championship - 2024 won a gold and a silver medal. Air Force Sergeant Darmawardana won gold in the under 73kg weight category while Corporal Abeysinghe won silver in the under 100kg weight category, says SLAF media sources.
The championship competition was held in Chonburi, Thailand on the 21st and 22nd (September). The Sri Lankan contingent included 11 male and 3 female Judokas. Teams from 16 other countries including Korea, Japan, France, China, Malaysia and Singapore took part in the championship this year.
