Defence Secretary attends 75th anniversary ceremony of the founding of
the People's Republic of China

Defence Secretary Air Vice Marshal Sampath Thuyacontha (Retd) attended the 75th anniversary ceremony of the founding of the People's Republic of China at the Shangri La Hotel in Colombo last evening (Sep 25). Minister Hon. Vijitha Herath graced the ceremony as the chief guest.
The host, Ambassador of China to Sri Lanka HE Qi Zhenhong welcomed the distinguished guests upon their arrival at the venue.
Many distinguished invitees including former presidents, ministry officials, members of the diplomatic corps, Chief of Defence Staff, Navy and Air Force Commanders were also present at the occasion.
