17th KDU International Research Conference begins
September 26, 2024The 17th International Research Conference (IRC) of General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University (KDU) commenced at the KDU auditorium today (Sep 26).
This year the IRC is being held under the timely theme "Unravelling the Paradigm Shift: Revolutions in the Era of AI".
The inaugural session of this 2-day (26 & 27) research conference being held for the 17th consecutive time commenced with the participation of KDU Chancellor General Shantha Kottegoda (Retd) as the chief guest. KDU Vice Chancellor, Rear Admiral Dammika Kumara made the welcome address.
Eminent Neurologist and clinician scientist Professor Tissa Wijeratne OAM MD PhD FRACP FRCP (Edin) FRCP (London) FAHA FAAN FEAN delivered the keynote address.
