Chinese sailing ship ‘PO LANG’ in Colombo
October 09, 2024Making a formal visit the Chinese People’s Liberation Army Navy Sail Training Warship ‘PO LANG’ arrived in Colombo on Tuesday (Oct 8), reports SL Navy media.
The 86-meter-long vessel carrying a crew of 130 personnel including 35 Officer Cadets was accorded a traditional welcome by the Sri Lanka Navy upon its arrival to Colombo port.
The crew of ‘PO LANG’ is set to participate in a series of programmes organized by the Sri Lanka Navy aimed at strengthening camaraderie between the two navies. ‘PO LANG’ is scheduled to leave the island on Friday (Oct 11), it says.
