Deputy Head of Mission - France to Sri Lanka Meets Defence Secretary
October 29, 2024The First Counsellor and the Deputy Head of Mission of France to Sri Lanka, Mrs. Marie-Noëlle Duris, engaged in a friendly discussion with the Defence Secretary Air Vice Marshal Sampath Thuyacontha (Retd), when she called on the Defence Secretary at the Defence Headquarters Complex, Sri Jayawardenepura, Kotte today (Oct 29).
AVM Thuyacontha (Retd) extended a warm reception to Mrs. Duris and discussed matters relevant to both nations, aiming to strengthen the longstanding defence ties.
The Deputy Head of Mission was accompanied by the French Military Technical Cooperation Officer in Charge of Maritime Security, Commander Jean-Baptiste Trouche.
Military Liaison Officer of the Ministry of Defence Air Vice Marshal Padman De Costa was also present at the occasion.
