SL Army collaborates with CPSTL to conduct emergency
fire drills at Kerawalapitiya oil terminal

An emergency fire response rehearsal was successfully conducted at the Kerawalapitiya Petroleum Storage Terminals on Friday (Dec 13). According to Army media, the exercise was a joint effort between the Sri Lanka Army (SLA) and the Ceylon Petroleum Storage Terminals Limited (CPSTL).
The objective of the rehearsal was to enhance inter-agency coordination and preparedness for effective fire emergency responses at the oil terminal, ensuring a more efficient collective response capability, it says.
It further states that the exercise was conducted with the participation of fire response teams from the Disaster Management Center - Sapugaskanda Oil Refinery, Port Authority, Sri Lanka Air Force, Sri Lanka Navy, Gampaha and Colombo Fire Brigades, and the CPSTL Fire Section.
