Ministry of Defence holds a special discussion on
regulating private sector security services

A focused discussion was convened at the office of the Deputy Minister of Defence, on Monday (20) to review the operations of private-sector security services, address existing challenges, and establish a comprehensive framework for regulating these services.
The private security sector employs a significant number of retired armed forces and police personnel. Hence, the discussion emphasized key issues such as enhancing the professionalism of private security agencies, implementing regulatory measures to ensure job security for employees, and creating a robust system to deliver high-quality services.
The meeting was attended by the Additional Secretary (Civil Services and Development) of the Ministry of Defence, the Commissioner General of the Department of Labour, and representatives from Civil Security Agencies.
