Deputy Minister of Defence Graces Book Launch Ceremony
February 03, 2025The Deputy Minister of Defence Major General Aruna Jayasekara (Retd) graced as the Chief Guest at the launch of the book titled ‘Love and Lure of the Wilds’, authored by General Gerry Hector De Silva (Retd). The event took place at the General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University (KDU) auditorium on Saturday (Feb 1).
General De Silva (Retd) is a distinguished intellectual and author, known for his notable work 'War Heroes Killed-in-Action.' He served as the 13th Commander of the Army and subsequently served as the Sri Lankan High Commissioner to Pakistan. In 2020, he was appointed as the 5th Chancellor of KDU, a testament to his distinguished career.
