CSD Athletes achievements at South Asia Masters Athletics Championship honoured
February 28, 2025An appreciation ceremony was recently held (Feb 18) at the Civil Security Department (CSD) Headquarters to felicitate its members who excelled at the South Asia Masters Athletics Championship, which took place from January 10 to 12 in Bangalore, India. The event was presided over by the Director General of the CSD, Major General KHP Palitha Fernando (Retd).
Representing Sri Lanka, CSD athletes showcased exceptional performance, securing 13 gold, 7 silver and 6 bronze medals across various sporting events.
Commending their outstanding achievements, the Director General extended his heartfelt congratulations to the winners. As a token of appreciation, the athletes were presented with financial rewards and encouraged to continue striving for excellence in their future sporting endeavours.
The ceremony was attended by senior officers, Deputy Directors, staff members and District Officers of the CSD, all of whom gathered to celebrate the remarkable accomplishments of the athletes of the CSD.
