DSCSC Student Officers Visit Ministry of Defence
March 04, 2025A delegation from the Defence Services Command and Staff College (DSCSC), comprising Student Officers of Course No. 19, visited the Ministry of Defence at the Defence Headquarters Complex in Sri Jayawardenepura Kotte on Monday (Mar 3).
Led by the Commandant of DSCSC, Major General HHKSS Hewage, the visit aimed to enhance the student officers’ understanding of the current defence landscape and provide them with insights into the organizational structure of the Ministry of Defence.
During the visit, Major General Hewage, accompanied by the Chief Instructors of the Tri-Forces faculty wings, engaged in a productive discussion with the Additional Secretary (Defence), Mr. Jayantha Edirisinghe and the Deputy Military Liaison Officer, Major General Nadeeka Kulasekara.
The delegation, consisting of 190 officers, including 38 faculty members and 152 student officers (27 foreign student officers) also had the opportunity to engage in a meaningful dialogue with the Chief of National Intelligence (CNI), Major General Ruwan Wanigasooriya (Retd), at the ministry auditorium.
Mementoes were also exchanged to mark the occasion. Director Media and Spokesman of the Ministry of Defence also joined the discussion.
