Ministry of Defence’s Seva Vanitha Unit Distributes Dry
Ration Packs to Ministry Staff

In keeping with the initiative of the Defence Secretary and the Chairperson of the Seva Vanitha Unit (SVU) of the Ministry of Defence, a program to distribute dry ration packs to minor employees of the Ministry of Defence was held today (Apr 9) at the Ministry premises, as a seasonal gesture of goodwill.
The initiative was conducted under the guidance of the Secretary to the Ministry of Defence, Air Vice Marshal Sampath Thuyacontha (Retd) and the Chairperson of the Ministry’s SVU, Dr. Ruwini Rasika Perera.
The distribution of these essential items aimed to support and encourage minor staff members during the Sinhala and Hindu New Year celebrations.
The event was attended by senior officials of the Ministry of Defence along with members of the SVU.
