Navy to set up another RO plant in Ambalantota
January 05, 2021Marking yet another leap forward in the community service oriented endeavour of the Navy’s Social Responsibility (NSR) project, drinking water stressed populace in Siyambalakote, Ambalantota received a Reverse Osmosis (RO) plant fulfilling a lasting need recently.
Minister of Irrigation and State Minister of National Security, Home Affairs and Disaster Management, Hon. Chamal Rajapaksa graced the inauguration ceremony organized to vest the new facility on the regional community.
The noble project mooted under a notion of the Health Ministry, propelled through the expertise and labour support of the NSR, is a befitting solution to eradicate the chronic kidney failure experienced in the rural areas prone to the fatal disease.
The inauguration ceremony of this RO plant was held adhering to the healthcare guidelines.
Hambantota District Secretary, Southern Naval Commander, naval personnel of the Southern Naval Command and regional community were also present at the occasion.
