'Deegawapiya Trust Fund' received 1.6 million
January 08, 2021South Korean-based ‘Sri Lankarama Buddhist Association’ donated a cheque worth of Rs 1.6 million to the Deegawapiya Trust Fund at the Defence Ministry today (Jan 08).
Defence Secretary and Chairperson of Presidential Task Force (PTF) for the Archaeological Heritage Management in the Eastern Province, Gen. Kamal Gunaratne received the donation from the visiting Buddhist delegation.
Daehanbulgyo jogyejong, Borimsa hwanggeum, Borisuhoe, Korea presented the donation to the Defence Secretary during the session.
Chief Prelate of Sri Lankaramaya Temple in South Korea Ven. Katuwana Vijithawansa thero, Chief Prelate of Wadduwa Samudrarama Temple Rajakeeya Panditha Gammana Vijayadhamma Thera, Director Media of the Defence Ministry and Military Spokesperson Brig. Chandana Wickramasinghe, Deputy Military Liaisons Officer Col. Priyanjith Hennadige and representatives of the Korean Buddhist Association were also present at the event.
