A total of 18,515 PCR tests conducted yesterday (23) - NOCPCO
January 24, 2021The total Coronavirus positives identified during the last 24 hours ending at 06.00 a.m. today (January 24) stands at 724 and the total cases in the country increased to 57,586.
All the positives identified yesterday were Sri Lankans, while 197 of them have been identified from Colombo District, 110 from Kandy District, 106 from Gampaha District and 311 persons from other districts, the National Operations Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO) said.
NOCPCO also stated that a total of 18,515 PCR tests were conducted yesterday (23).
A total of 644 persons have left hospitals yesterday (23) after complete recovery from the virus.
The total recovery from the virus in the country rose to 49,260 persons. 8,046 Coronavirus patients are undergoing medical treatments while 8,117 persons are quarantining under 91 centres managed by Tri-Forces, NOCPCO added.
The country’s COVID-19 death toll has increased to 280 along with two Coronavirus deaths reported during the last 24 hours.
