A total of 16,431 PCR tests conducted yesterday (26) - NOCPCO
January 27, 2021The total Coronavirus positives identified during the last 24 hours ending at 06.00 a.m. today (January 27) stands at 755 and the total cases in the country increased to 59,921.
Seven persons among the total positives identified yesterday were Sri Lankans repatriated from the overseas while 369 of them have been identified from Colombo District, 124 from Gampaha District, 80 from Kaluthara District, and 175 persons from other districts, the NOCPCO confirmed today (January 27).
The number of infected persons associated with the Minuwangoda and Peliyagoda Fish Market cluster increased to 56,014 and out of them, a total of 45,889 have left hospitals following complete recovery.
NOCPCO also stated that a total of 16,431 PCR tests were conducted yesterday (26).
A total of 709 persons have left hospitals today (27) after complete recovery from the virus.
The total recovery from the virus in the country rose to 51,048 persons. 8,588 Coronavirus patients are undergoing medical treatments while 8,030 persons are quarantining under 95 centres managed by Tri-Forces, NOCPCO added.
The country’s COVID-19 death toll has increased to 288 along with one Coronavirus death reported during the last 24 hours.
