SLAF commenced development work in Kebithigollewa

The Sri Lanka Air Force (SLAF) ceremonially commenced a groundbreaking development project at Kanugahawewa village, Kebithigollewa yesterday (Jan 28) under the patronage of the SLAF Commander Air Marshal Sudharshana Pathirana.

The SLAF undertook the development of Kanugahawewa village following HE the President Gotabhaya Rajapaksa recently had another session of 'Talk with the Village' program in Kanugahawewa Village.

The development activities include construction of new houses for needy families, renovation work of Kanugahawewa school and the temple.

The Urban Development Authority supports the program as per the proposal of the Divisional Secretariat to cater to the needs of the residents of the area.

This program also coincides with the forthcoming 70th Anniversary of the SLAF and is conducted with the direction of the SLAF Commander providing relief to 314 families in the village.

The event was attended by state officials,senior officers and soldiers of the SLAF and residents of the area.
