Sri Lanka’s total Coronavirus recoveries rose to 55,397 persons
January 30, 2021The total Coronavirus positives identified during the last 24 hours ending at 06.00 a.m. today (January 30) stands at 859 and the total cases in the country increased to 62,444 the National Operations Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO) stated.
All the positives identified yesterday were Sri Lankans while 313 of them have been identified from Colombo District, 211 from Gampaha District, 79 from Kurunegala District and 256 persons from other districts, the National Operations Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO) said.
The number of infected persons associated with the Minuwangoda and Peliyagoda Fish Market cluster increased to 58,467 and out of them, a total of 50,241 have left hospitals following complete recovery.
NOCPCO also stated that a total of 18,132 PCR tests were conducted yesterday (29).
A total of 963 persons have left hospitals yesterday after complete recovery from the virus.
The total recovery from the virus in the country rose to 55,397 persons. 6,742 Coronavirus patients are undergoing medical treatments while 8,117 persons are quarantining under 99 centres managed by Tri-Forces, NOCPCO added.
The country’s COVID-19 death toll has increased to 305 along with eight Coronavirus deaths reported during the last 24 hours.
