Sri Lanka’s total Coronavirus recoveries rose to 57,158 persons
February 01, 2021The total Coronavirus positives identified during the last 24 hours ending at 06.00 a.m. today (Feb 01) stands at 864 and the total cases in the country increased to 64,156, the National Operations Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO) stated.
Twenty seven persons among the total positives identified yesterday were Sri Lankans repatriated from overseas while 362 of them have been identified from Colombo District, 88 from Gampaha District, 81 from Kandy District and 306 persons from other districts, the NOCPCO said.
The number of infected persons associated with the Minuwangoda and Peliyagoda Fish Market cluster increased to 60,179 and out of them, a total of 52,002 have left hospitals following complete recovery.
The NOCPCO also stated that a total of 15,628 PCR tests were conducted yesterday (Jan 31).
A total of 882 persons have left hospitals yesterday after complete recovery from the virus.
The total recovery from the virus in the country rose to 57,158 persons. 6,682 Coronavirus patients are undergoing medical treatments while 7,444 persons are quarantining under 98 centres managed by Tri-Forces, the NOCPCO added.
The country’s COVID-19 death toll has increased to 308 along with three Coronavirus deaths reported during the last 24 hours.
