916 persons left hospitals yesterday after complete recovery from the virus

The total Coronavirus positives identified during the last 24 hours ending at 06.00 a.m. today (February 02) stands at 826 and the total cases in the country increased to 64,982, the National Operations Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO) stated.

Ten persons among the total positives identified yesterday were Sri Lankans repatriated from the overseas while 212 of them have been identified from Colombo District, 132 from Gampaha District and 131 from Kandy District and 341 persons from other districts, the NOCPCO confirmed today (February 02).

The number of infected persons associated with the Minuwangoda and Peliyagoda Fish Market cluster increased to 60,995 and out of them, a total of 55,977 have left hospitals following complete recovery.

NOCPCO also stated that a total of 13,392 PCR tests were conducted yesterday (01).

A total of 916 persons have left hospitals yesterday after complete recovery from the virus.

The total recovery from the virus in the country rose to 58,074 persons. 6,585 Coronavirus patients are undergoing medical treatments while 8,088 persons are quarantining under 97 centres managed by Tri-Forces, NOCPCO added.

The country’s COVID-19 death toll has increased to 323 along with  Seven Coronavirus deaths reported during the last 24 hours.
