1,133 persons left hospitals after complete virus recovery

The total Coronavirus positives identified during the last 24 hours ending at 06.00 a.m. today (February 07) stands at 726 and the total cases in the country increased to 68,575, the National Operations Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO) stated.

All the positives identified yesterday were Sri Lankans while 197 of them have been identified from Badulla District, 116 from Colombo District, 101 from Gampaha District and 312 persons from other districts, the NOCPCO said.

The number of infected persons associated with the Minuwangoda and Peliyagoda Fish Market cluster increased to 64,580 and out of them, a total of 61,180 have left hospitals following complete recovery.

The NOCPCO also stated that a total of 14,749 PCR tests were conducted yesterday (06).

A total of 1,133 persons have left hospitals yesterday after complete recovery from the virus.

The total recovery from the virus in the country rose to 62,593 persons. 5,631 Coronavirus patients are undergoing medical treatments while 8,063 persons are quarantining under 87 centers managed by Tri-Forces, the NOCPCO added.

The country’s COVID-19 death toll has increased to 351 along with eight Coronavirus deaths reported during the last 24 hours.
